Dora Boudreau,
Owner
After 30 years in the Royal Bank, starting out in Nova
Scotia and transferring later to Fredericton, New Brunswick, I
followed a dream. As a retirement present to myself, I started
a new career, Atlantic Pewter & Glass. I am pleased to be
able to present delightful designs in napkin rings, bracelets,
pendants, brooches, earrings, sun catchers, keepsake boxes,
and many other handcrafted items available to both the
wholesale and retail markets.
Hugh Boudreau, "Gofer"
As the name implies, I go for this, and I go for that.
Anything that Dora or Sheila need to create their unique gifts
I pick up for them. I am also employed full-time as
superintendent of the Gage Golf Course at CFB Gagetown in
Oromocto. My main function in my spare time is creating the
stained glass items.
Sheila Toye, Our Designer
Following a full-time career in theatre design in Europe and Canada, she made a complete change and apprenticed to Dr. Ivan Crowell of Fredericton (Known as Canada's first pewtersmith) for a year, learning every aspect of metal-smithing: casting, spinning, planishing, mold-making, engraving, etc.
Started her own studio, originally known as Pewtercraft, in Fredericton, NB in 1978, then moved to our present location in 1984, specializing in jewellery and ornament design in the very distinctive style, which is still used today, nearly 30 years later.
From one-off presentation pieces to wholesale across Canada and in the United States the highly successful collection of
approximately 300 different Christmas designs and the wide Celtic range are still the mainstay of Atlantic Pewter.
